Dear Friends,

As we embark on our 9th season, it gives me great pleasure to announce that Amarillo’s own star tenor, Eric Barry, will perform on our concert season on three occasions, giving you the unique opportunity to hear him sing Baroque music, Romantic lieder and Dramatic arias with a very special guest artist appearing alongside him in the Spring of 2008. We are all so proud of Eric’s accomplishments as he moves into the major operatic world, studying in New York City and appearing in some of the finest productions in the Northeast. I hope you will take this rare opportunity to come hear our own Pavarotti! This year we have a demand return engagement with our piano quartet in residence, Quartet-â-téte, featuring Annie Chalex, Joanna Mendoza, Jeffrey Lastrapes and myself. Additionally we will be featuring the Felici Trio, a marvelous piano trio from the California Sierra Mountains. Another delight is the return of the High Plains Series featuring Emmanuel Lopez performing the last three Bach Cello Suites. With the recent acquisition of risers for our audience to be seated on providing improved line-of-sight, concerts in the Fibonacci building will be better still. From the Bach St. Matthew Passion to the Tchaikovsky String Serenade and all in between, you will delight in this wonderful season as we provide you a window into your musical world.

I look forward to seeing you!

David Palmer
